2010 Arrow Satisfaction Surveys Bring Encouraging Results

Foster Parent Satisfaction Survey
To ensure the highest quality of care for our foster families and children, Arrow Child & Family Ministries distributes an annual Foster Parent Satisfaction Survey to gain useful feedback from those that we serve. We are excited and proud to say that the results are in and the overall response was a rating of excellent! As an agency, Arrow strives for excellence and this year's Foster Parent Survey shows how often we are able to achieve that goal. One foster parent shares her thoughts; "The Arrow staff has been very valuable to my success as a first time foster parent. The support that I have received from them has been great."

Foster parents had the opportunity to respond and share thoughts about a variety of subjects. Arrow received excellent scores in of the following areas:

• Ability to uphold and display Christian values and principles
• Quality of visits between foster children and their Ambassador
  Family Specialist (on at least a monthly basis)
• Ability to meet children's physical and emotional needs
  (through coordinating counseling services)
• Arrow's ability to help foster parents meet licensing needs
• Adequate appreciation of Arrow foster parents and the work they do

Refferal Source Satisfaction Survey Results
In addition to the Foster Parent Satisfaction Survey, Arrow also distributed a  Referral Source Satisfaction Survey to case workers and supervisors at the Department of Family and Protective Services who currently work with Arrow. The responses to the survey were also very encouraging. Over 180 DFPS case workers participated and expressed positive "general agreement" about Arrow's ability to keep children safe while in care, as well as provide each child with quality care.

Other areas that the DFPS felt Arrow excelled in included:

• Arrow's ability to send important information on children
  to the DFPS workers
• Arrow's ability to find homes for sibling groups and children who are medically fragile
• Arrow's ability to appropriately match children to foster homes
• Meeting DFPS's expectations in providing necessary services
  for clients
  

Arrow's dedicated and outstanding staff across the state of Texas make it possible to serve and honor our foster parents and children at a high level of care. A special thank you to all of our foster parents for your devotion and heart to help kids and strengthen families. Arrow would also like to thank DFPS for their participation in the Referral Source Survey. It is through this feedback that Arrow can become an even better advocate for the children and families we serve.
