Arrow Pennsylvania Joins with KidsPeace to Honor Foster and Adoptive ParentsAs we celebrate National Foster Parent Appreciation Month in May, Arrow Child & Family Ministries and KidsPeace in Pennsylvania, have partnered together to celebrate foster/adopt families, as well as bring further awareness of the foster care and adoption needs to the local counties. KidsPeace is a private charity dedicated to serving the behavioral and mental health needs of children, preadolescents and teens. After recently receiving a $5,000 grant from the Adoption Coalition, both Arrow and Kidspeace will host a "Recognition Banquet" to honor and encourage the families that have dedicated themselves to serving our children.
The Banquet will be held Thursday, May 20th from 6-9pm at The Casino at Lakemont Park. The evening will include: dinner, a special message from guest speaker, Mark Tennant, Founder and CEO of Arrow Child & Family Ministries, an interactive panel discussion on foster care/adoption, and an awards ceremony to honor the foster/adopt families. Area Resource Families, Local President Judge Jolene Grubb-Kopriva, representatives from Blair County Children and Youth, local business leaders and caseworkers will all be attending.
