Handle With Care foster care agency to merge with Arrow: 3 Staff, 20 Families & 34 Children to join us in September

Arrow Child & Family Ministries is excited to announce that we have reached an agreement with Al and Sharon Kiely and their daughter, Chrissy to join forces. Al and Sharon, after serving as Arrow foster parents, founded Handle with Care, which is an agency that was designed to serve children in foster care with severe medical issues. Handle With Care was opened in 1994 by the Kielys who have been foster/adoptive parents for children with medical needs since 1983. Arrow Child & Family Ministries will assume the operation of their office in Wimberley, Texas which will serve as a welcomed addition to serving homes in the south Austin and Hill Country areas. Handle With Care’s existing 20 primary medical need homes that are spread across the State will also transfer to Arrow. This will greatly expand our services statewide for medically fragile children and set the stage for future development of homes statewide to meet an ever-growing need. Al and Sharon bring an expertise to working with medically fragile children that is unmatched and widely respected across Texas by the legislature, TDFPS, and the community. Al and Sharon have run a very successful organization and shaped the worlds of many children. They have hearts for what the Father has called us to do and will be a great asset to Arrow Child & Family Ministries in the future. Al and Sharon specialize in recruitment, pre-service and on-going training, ISD liaison, legislative advocacy, and connections with the medical community. Please join us in welcoming them with open arms into the Arrow family! They will most likely be starting with us in September!
