Community Partners Grant Funds For Children’s Basic Necessities and Immediate Clothing Needs

Children who are rescued from abuse and neglect typically come into foster care with little more than the clothing they are wearing. Recently, two of our community partners have graciously provided funds to Arrow Child & Family Ministries in order to purchase the basic necessities and immediate clothing needs for children that come into our care. The Austin Community Foundation granted $9,000 to provide immediate clothing needs for foster children in Travis County, Texas and The Coastal Bend Community Foundation granted $3,750 for immediate clothing needs for the foster children in the Coastal Bend, Texas area.

The Austin Community Foundation promotes philanthropy in Central Texas to improve the quality of life now and in the future. The foundation provides support for arts and culture, education and training, community development and community services. The Austin Community Foundation manages more than 750 charitable funds, established by individual donors, corporations, non-profit agencies and partner foundations. The Foundation is proud to serve as the bridge between the remarkable people who want to give and the equally remarkable people who use those gifts to better all of our lives.

The Coastal Bend Community Foundation, serves as leader, catalyst, and resource for philantrhopy in the Coastal Bend region. The Foundation strives to provide a better quality of life for the residents of the Coastal Bend by promoting philanthropy, matching community needs with donors wishing to support the programs that meet those needs, and managing a growing investment to assure that changing community needs will be met in the future. 

Arrow deeply appreciates this generous support of the children and families we serve. It is through community partners, like the Austin Community Foundation and the Coastal Bend Community Foundation that needs like these are being met.
