Mountain Christian Church Impacts Lives at Crossroads in Maryland
On April 25th, 23 volunteers from Mountain Christian Church in Joppa, Maryland spent the day beautifying our Crossroads campus (our transitional living facility for adolescent girls) as their participation in Servefest, a day set aside when churches across the nation show God's love by being the hands and feet of Christ in their communities.
Mountain Christian Church parishioners built three bookshelves by hand for our dorm libraries. The volunteers donated all the wood and supplies. They also weeded the grounds and purchased mulch, plants and shrubs to plant around the dorm. The group painted three of the rooms in the dorm and a very energetic and thoughtful group of teen girls from the church decided that they wanted to make the bedroom they were painting special. Our resident was overjoyed when the girls went out and purchased paint to match her bedspread. To add to the blessing of the day, the volunteers from Mountain Christian Church purchased lunch for all the girls at Crossroads. Our girls beamed with joy, gratitude and excitement for the way Mountain Christian Church reach out to them in love. Arrow Child & Family Ministries is truly blessed to have such an amazing church partner in Mountain Christian Church. "...but by love serve one another." Galatians 5:13
