Foster Families in the Houston area come together for a Foster Parent Appreciation Day at The Woodlands United Methodist Church.

The Woodlands United Methodist Church Hosts Foster Parent Appreciation Day.

Over 600 moms, dads and kids enjoyed the second annual Foster Family Appreciation Day hosted by The Woodlands United Methodist Church on Saturday, October 24th. This annual event is a fun day of fallfest type events with a petting zoo, inflatable's, carnival games, food...and of course, a giant pumpkin patch!

New to this year's Foster Family Appreciation Day was a pony ride and a huge hay bale maze! Children were treated to leisurely pony rides as adults led the ponies around the riding lot. This turned out to be one of the favorite photo opportunities for parents, surpassed only by the hundreds of pumpkins everywhere which made for a great seasonal portrait setting. The hay bale maze covered about an acre and was a serious challenge, even for parents, to navigate from the maze's entrance to the exit. Many of the smaller children just enjoyed climbing on the bales of hay.

It is only with the generosity of church partners like The Woodlands United Methodist Church that Arrow foster families, and other foster families in the community, are able to receive this degree of appreciation for their service to children in need and enjoy such a first class day of fun for the entire family.
