Arrow Hit Hard by Hurricane Ike
On September 13th, hurricane Ike devastated southeast Texas disrupting Arrow Child & Family Ministries’ headquarters, our Spring and Angleton program offices, Arrow staff, our foster families and the kids in our care. We received minor damage to our offices, but our facilities in Porter, where we hold summer camp for our foster kids, were especially hit hard. You can view some of the damage we experienced by clicking on the pictures at the end of this article.
For many of our families and staff, the burden of being displaced or surviving without power and water for an extended period of time has created a great need in the Arrow family. Regular office operations were halted for a week while waiting for power to be restored in the Houston area. Because our network computer servers were located in Spring, Texas, our offices across unaffected parts of Texas, Maryland and Pennsylvania experienced an interruption of network services making normal business activities difficult.
We're proud of how our staff planned, organized and took action to lessen the impact of hurricane Ike on the lives of those we serve, but there is still a long road of recovery before us. Your financial partnership would be a tremendous blessing in helping to get lives and operations back to normal. Your tax-deductible donation can be made securely online by clicking here.
Thank you for your concern and your prayers during this difficult time.
