<p><span style="font-size: 16px;"><strong>Brent Smith - Arrow's Sharpest Edge for April 2009</strong></span><br />Congratulations to Brent Smith, Director of Marketing in our Spring, Texas office for being named Arrow's Sharpest EDGE.<br /><br />Brent was nominated by Wanda Elliott, Receptionist in our Spring office. Here is an excerpt from Wanda's nomination form:</p>

<p>We asked Brent a series of questions and below are his responses. Please take a moment to learn about our Sharpest EDGE for April 2009.<br /><br /> 1. <em>Where are you from? Birth Location? Where did you grow up?</em><br /> <strong>I was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, but I grew up all over Texas. I spent<br /> several years in Lake Jackson, Dallas, Waco, and Houston.</strong></p>
<p> </p>
<p> 2. <em>What are your favorite things to do? Hobbies? Sports?</em><br /> <strong>Music has always been part of my life...singing and song writing. I serve on<br /> my church's worship vocal team. In high school I played football and I've<br /> played on several different church softball teams.</strong></p>
<p> </p>
<p> 3.<em> What is your favorite food?<br /> </em><strong>You just can't have too much Mexican food.</strong></p>
<p> </p>
<p> 4. <em>Do you have any pets/children?<br /></em> <strong> I helped raise two stepson from 6 and 10 years old. Today they are 29 and<br /> 33. I've developed an allergic reaction to pet dander so my pet days are <br /> over.</strong></p>

<p> 5.<em> Who is the one person that has influenced your life the most?<br /> <strong>Jesus Christ</strong></em></p>

<p> 6.<em> What is the one thing that you like best about your job?<br /> </em><strong>I love all the people I am privileged to work with.</strong></p>

<p> <em> 7. Where is your favorite place to go?<br /> </em><strong>I love spending time at Surfside just walking the beach, meditating, singing<br /> praises and looking for sea shells. </strong></p>

<p> 8. <em>If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?<br /></em> <strong>I would love to visit the Holy Lands and see the places where Jesus<br /> ministered.</strong></p>

<p><em> 9. How would you complete these sentences?</em><em><br /><br /> I have discovered that true happiness is:<br /></em><strong> A relationship with Jesus Christ.</strong> <strong> When that's right...relationships with <br /> others are what they should be and circumstances in this life are kept <br /> in perspective.</strong></p>
<p><em> I consider my greatest accomplishment in life to be:<br /> </em><strong>It's a work in progress, but I'd have to say dying to myself.</strong></p>
<p> <em>If I was given 5 million dollars, I would:</em> <br /> <strong>use the first 10% to honor God and the remaining money I would invest to<br /> create income, and then I'd help friends and family as needed and/or<br /> deserved.</strong></p>

<p><em>10. What is your favorite childhood memory?<br /></em> <strong>It's hard to point to one favorite memory, but lying in the grass of my<br /> backyard on a sunny summer day and looking for shapes in the white fluffy<br /> clouds would probably sum it up.</strong></p>

<p> 11. <em>Besides your normal job duties; how do you impact Arrow's mission?</em><br /> <strong>I try to lighten the mood through humor...even though Ms Wanda tries to<br /> keep me down.</strong></p>

<p> <em> 12.</em><em> What would people be surprised to find out about you?</em><strong><br /> I could care less about professional sports and I haven't watched the Super<br /> Bowl for several years.</strong></p>

<p><em> 13. What are you afraid of?</em><strong><br /> One of my greatest fears is that our country will move so far away from God<br /> that He will remove his hand of blessing that we have enjoyed for over 200<br /> years.</strong></p>
