The Church & Community Alliances Division will develop and offer resources to equip churches and community organizations to address the foster care crisis and family life in America and abroad by establishing a network of people and financial resources necessary for the advancement of the ministry.
Community Partners Grant Funds For Children’s Basic Necessities and Immediate Clothing Needs.
Children who are rescued from abuse and neglect typically come into foster care with little more than the clothing they are wearing. Recently, two of our community partners have graciously provided funds to Arrow Child & Family Ministries in order to purchase the basic necessities and immediate clothing needs for children that come into our care. The Greehey Family Foundation granted $10,000 to provide basic necessities for foster children in the Bexar County Texas area and The Montgomery County Community Foundation granted $3,400 for immediate clothing needs and birthday gift cards for the foster children in Montgomery County, Texas. The Greehey Family Foundation places an emphasis on supporting health and human welfare issues, children's causes, education and the homeless. Because the needs of the community are wide, the Foundation is set up to meet an almost unlimited range of needs within these areas. In its brief history, the Foundation has already donated tens-of-millions of dollars to hundreds of causes.
The Montgomery County Community Foundation, was established to create and build a permanent fund to provide for the present and future well-being of their community. The Foundation administers individual funds contributed to it by individuals, corporations, foundations and other sources. The ultimate goal of the Foundation is to match community resources with community needs.

It is through community partners, like The Greehey Foundation and the Montgomery County Community Foundation that needs like these are being met.
