HCS Services
Comprehensive Case Management
Your Arrow case manager will coordinate all services and schedule a visit at least once a month.
Residential Assistance
Choose one of our residential services:
Supported Home Living (SHL) - Our service recipient may live alone or with their family. We will provide an Arrow staff member to assist for a specified number of hours per day or week. If you have a staff person you'd like to use, we will consider hiring them. A relative can be paid to provide this service as long as they do not live in the same household.
Foster/Companion Care - Arrow began with foster care in 1992 and is now the largest independent foster care provider in Texas. Service recipients are matched with a foster family for long term care (service recipients or their families would participate in that decision) or Arrow can pay a family member to be the foster provider as long as the service recipient is over 18 years old and resides in the same household.
Respite Relief
Respite can be provided for a few hours or a few days for service recipients that live at home and receive Supported Home Living assistance. Arrow will recommend a respite provider or if you have a preferred respite provider, we can contract with provided they qualify based on our criteria.
Therapy & Health Services
We will make recommendations and coordinate with providers or we can contract with your preferred provider for: Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Dietary Services, Audiology, Psychology, Day Habilitation, and Nursing Services.
Dental
Adults receive up to $1,000 per year for dental care. Minors receive dental care through Texas Health Steps.
Adaptive Aids
Arrow Home & Community Services (HCS) will pay for some specified aids that Medicaid does not cover. This is determined on a case by case basis and can include lifts, walkers, wheelchair ramps, and diapers.
Minor Home Modifications
A lifetime amount $7,500 is available for minor modifications such as widening door ways, modifying bathrooms, etc.
